Christmas Cookie #2

Today, I'm sharing with you again my Oatmeal Raisin Cookies!  Although, this is not your typical "Christmas Cookie"  this is definitely a favorite around my house and the freeze well!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies 



1 cup shortening                         1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup brown sugar                      1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sugar                                 1/2 tsp. salt 
2 eggs                                         2 cups Quick Rolled Oats
2 cups flour                                 1 cup raisins

cream together shortening and sugars until Fluffy.  Add eggs and beat well.  Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, and salt.  Add creamed mixture and stir well.  Stir in remaining ingredients.  Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees and bake for 12-15 min.  Makes about 5 1/2 dozen.
