This week we are on Spring Break – well my daughter is on Spring Break. My week is business as usual but in the midst of work I’m trying to include some fun projects. The other night we painted some bird houses. I think these will be perfect for my Spring time mantles.
We decorated the bird houses 3 different ways - I used fabric and modge podge on one my houses. I had some left over scraps I cut out for my no sew quilt project.
Then I found a new use for my washi tape – I washi taped one of my houses. Lilly painted two of the houses and of course after she painted both she was mad I broke out the washi tape so I will be back tomorrow to buy one more bird house for her to washi tape.
Painted Houses – by Lilly
Fabric Modge Podge House
Washi Tape House
This is a simple project for all ages -
Bird houses I found for $1.00 at Joann’s
paint – we used the Joann brand acrylic paint ( I think they are .59 cents)
the rest of the supplies we used I already had on hand …
Get creative! You can even embellish your houses once they dry.
Happy Crafting!
